Barn Renovation - Paddock Wood, Kent

This project involved taking the existing barn and gutting it all the way back to the beams. An extension was added to the back, allowing us to open up the kitchen with new bi-fold doors and provide a welcome pathway to the garden. Traditional Kent Peg Tiles were used to make sure the new extension blended in with the authentic look of the barn.

The customer also wanted an annex in the garden built from French Oak, which we sourced and delivered directly from France. French Oak was chosen due to it's fantastic quality and we found it more cost-effective than locally sourced Oak.

After the structural side of the built was complete, we clad the outside with an authentic barn clad which we stained on site to replicate the barns/properties in the area.

On the inside of the barn/annex, we blended between a contemporary look while keeping the traditional features of the barn, featuring all the mod cons and smart finish but keeping the cosy feel of an older property.

This was by far the most involved project we had taken on to date, however it went extremely well and looked fantastic when the work was complete.
